I was sad when New Tung Kee by the Lion Market closed and I discovered this place. The menu is pretty much the same. I got the #6 which has rice noodles, egg noodles, shrimp, beef ball, and pork. It just as good as I remembered it! The service was good but could be better.

I love this place, I probably go once a week! I would give 5 star but the problem is that they leave their doors open the whole day and flies come in. Had to fight flies while eating, plus their kitchen is open so who knows how many flies are going in there... again love this place but they should consider closing those doors.

King Noodle is straight nostalgia for me. I know the food from TK Noodle is very similar but there's just something about King Noodle that hits different. From being greeted right when you walk into the door to how fast your food comes out it just feels so comforting. This is the only location I know of as the others have shut down so I hope it stays open for a long time

Their is very good and prompt. You can choose all kinds of dishes but my favorite is Chow fun combo.

Great food fast service I go there all the time And I've tried several things on the menu all prepared to look just like the photos on the menu. My favorite dish is the war wonton soup with skinny egg noodles with chicharrones and beans sprouts on the side and a glass of lemonade. (delicious.)

beef ball soup, fried chicken wings, mongolian beef over rice, vegetarian vermicelli. LOVED IT! service fast, food comes out quick and reasonable prices. of course we were probably starving. as for lack of atmosphere and ambience mentioned in other reviews, who the F cares as long food good!

Ordered #2 spicy sate noodle soup. The food came out quick and was super flavorful. The location has plenty of parking spaces and it is across from Marshall's. I thought their menu was affordable judging that lots of food places are charging $16 for a plate of food. I can't speak for all dishes on the menu but the one I had was good. It was a lot so I had to take it to-go. You can't see in the picture but there was a lot of meat hidden in my broth as it comes with flat noodle and lemon. Super tasty and will come here again. Note: This dish has peanuts.

Consistency good food. The service is always quick. The ambiance is relaxed and open air concept doesn't confine you when your eating the way that some restaurants that too many booths can.

Solid Vietnamese-Chinese noodle house with an extensive menu, even though I get the exact same thing every time (mi hoanh thanh). Don't expect amazing service or ambiance, but they are friendly. You order at your table, quickly get your food, then go up to counter to pay. I love stopping by whenever I need to go to TJ's. Worth the money.

Prices have gone up And charge now for extra sauce We had a large order for to go but we got hungry and was going to have some of our chicken and egg roll snd shrimp ball while it was hot they wouldn't give us a plate because we had to go and was got over 100 worth of food and we ask only for 4 plate because we were 4 us who went to order and pick out side dishes. It wasn't like we even had a pre order we were there in the shop ordering.

Unpretentious hole in the wall restaurant with great flavors and large portions! This place will satisfy your cravings for great, quick Chinese food. I want to say the majority of their menu items are Chinese, but they also have Vietnamese and Thai dishes too. Try the noodle soup. The bowl is huge so maybe sharing is an option. The pad Thai is also great because it has lots of sauce and generous portion of noodles. If you're in this area and feel ravenous, then this place will satisfy that.

Solid meals at a budget price. We regularly order the stir fried rice and Kung pao beef. Can't go wrong with those.

I have been coming to this location for 20 years or more. 99% of the time it's a number 3 large. I occasionally try other dishes and they are all good. They have soup and noodle dishes. The service is always good and I have never gotten food that wasn't delicious. I like their taro cakes also. Give this Fremont institution a try. You will notice that Tung Ke noodles and TK noodles are identical. Same menu's and same way to cook. My understanding 3 brothers created Tung Ke and had a falling out. Give them a try.

Food Was Good.. Tk Noodle In Newark Was My Spot Til They Shut Down.. Such A Bummer. But This Place Gets The Job Done! Same Concept And Very Friendly Service Which I Love
Joe N.
Went there today friendly service and good food. Got it to go but when I got back to my truck no spoons, forks or napkins. How am I supposed to eat this? If you ever get to go, just make sure you get your utensils.

This place really doesn't have to be as good as it is. I grew up eating at TK Noodle and New Tung Kee, the latter of which this place was at one point. My go-to is the #9 wonton noodle soup. I used to never like the beef as a kid, but I ordered takeout today and the beef is flavorful and delicious! I'd say their service is good as well because the minute I walk in, I'm offered a menu and a seat. The ambiance is simple, typical TK and New Tung Kee ambiance, no AC or heating I guess. If you're looking for a quick, cheap noodle fix and don't feel like bothering with the more upscale pho places, this is the place to go!

Okay i absolutely love love TK noodle but then one in Newark just closed down...bummer!! And I found this restaurant same concept as TK noodle and they have pork grinds too!! OMG and they have all the sides which i love sate, pickled jalapeños, and Hosin sauce! And even better they Take CC's!!!! Love that so much definitely appreciate that! Also the lady in the front is really nice and fast! Their service is quick i just call and place the togo and i go pick up. This location is still a little far from my house but worth the drive!

I'm a big fan of new tung kee noodle in the Bay Area; so when I decided to move to Fremont from Milpitas, I was sad that I would be moving further away from one of my favorite spots to eat Chinese soup noodles. This morning however, we found king noodle. Everything from the menu, design of the logo, and the decor inside reminds you of TK noodle, almost like it used to be a TK noodle but it separated from the brand. No complaints however as I ordered my typical #1 combination rice noodle and it came out exactly the same! In terms of service, availability, convenience, and flavors: expect new tung kee noodle. It's fast, convenient, and oh so tasty. Just like new tung kee, this place is a blast of nostalgic tastes and experience. I'm so glad to have been brought up tasting the flavors of new tung kee and now king noodle. I'll be coming here very often now!

Orange juice was made fresh. All employees were masked and kind. Tables were thoroughly cleaned. The Mongolian Tofu over Rice was delicious! Seems management was walking around the restaurant often checking in on the customers. Can't wait to go back!

AMAZING! I’m from Colorado, my wife brought me here for the first time and this was by far the best noodles I have had. Everything tastes fresh and delicious! Fast isn’t even the word! The owner came to greet my wife(her favorite spot) and took our order within 5 min our food was at the table! Dug in and couldn’t even finish the huge portion! Absolutely delicious!

5/2024 BACK TO NORMAL! 1/2024 😡 HOT SAUCE IS $1 PER CUP AND NOT ON TABLES!!! 12/2022 UPDATED RATING Since This particular establishment is located in the Fremont Hub which is a shopping center off of Mowry road. The restaurant has been here for a number of years and is the classic Tung Kee experience, although it is now called King Noodle. However, I have a grievance now with this particular location. Tung Kee Noodle is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. King Noodle is basically Tung Kee rebranded. The story I heard was that this was once a family business and when a dispute within the family broke out two members of the family separated the trademark and establish their own names. As a result, New Tung Kee Noodle and King Noodle and any similar noodle houses that are in a spot where there once was a Tung Kee are basically the Tung Kee brands, just with a different name. This is evident as if you are familiar with the brand, nothing has changed including the menu, recipes and decor. And I personally still refer to all of them as Tung Kee. Now, onto my review about this particular one. I used to go to this particular location most often because the flavor for their main soup was the most consistent between the two that are relative to my home. That changed and so I started going to the other location which is a more convenient drive given it's location relative to the freeway. Unfortunately, the consistency of the flavor of the soup broth varies between flavorful and watered down, and on any given day week month you may get a variation somewhere between those two marks in the flavor of the broth so in some ways how good the soup will be is a bit of a luck of the draw. EDITED OUT HUGE RANT ABOUT THE REDUCTION TO TINY CHILI TO GO CUPS AND HOW YOU HAD TO PAY FOR EXTRAS NOW. However, if you are a fan of the soup, I'm sure you'll get the traditional experience by patronizing this location. It is not beyond understanding as a result of increasing costs. Where I don't agree with the policy and think it hurts the customer experience more than the benefit they gain from reducing what they'll give, at least I can share with you my sentiment on what my experience has become and why I'm no longer likely to patronize this particular location. 4/2/23 I re-patronized this location because the Tung Kee on Cedar has permanently closed. The regular sized Chili oil cups are back and you can fill them yourself again! This is cause for celebration! 4/30/23 We came by here at 6:40 PM and they close at 8 and they are out of #1 and Chili oil. The very 2 things that I go there for. The place was also crowded. Disappointing but I guess you can't argue inventory. This is the first time I walked out of an open Tung Kee/King Noodle empty handed... 1/2024 It was my birthday and I wanted noodles. Called it in for takeout this time in case they ran out of noodles again and didn't want to waste my time and gas. Ordered 3 of their #1 house special soup and then ... they asked me if I wanted the hot sauce. Now, if you're familiar with this chain you would know that the hot sauce is signature for them. Of course I said I wanted it and they asked how many. I said 3, one for each order. They then informed me that there was a charge for them. ... ... ... I asked how much expecting to hear something like 50 cents. They said... 1 dollar each. I paused and said... You don't even give one for each order? No. They charge for each one you want. Now, I've watched this franchise go through many evolutions with this sauce. Matter of fact, the recipe they use today is the 3rd or 4th change since the sauce of my youth. I've watched them go from leaving the sauce cups out, to giving you one per bowl, to charging you extra if you wanted more than 1, and even when they started giving single half size cups only. This one is rough. I asked why, and they said everything is getting expensive. Yeah. No kidding. My son noticed it was not on the tables for people dining in either. That is all. And that's already possibly too much....

A nice Vietnamese restaurant that isn't too overly priced. Service can be a little bit slow during peak busy hours. The soups and the noodles were pretty good but the meats felt flat. Overall not too bad for pho in this area in Fremont!

Good food and clean service. Love this place!

Food is special. Mongolian tofu, the noodles, the fried wontons. Everything’s taste great with very affordable price. Service is standard with mostly only one waiter and we have to go pay ourselves to cashier, but doesn’t really matter because the food is worth it.
